Express Entry Program:
IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada is introduced the Express Entry Immigration Program for the skilled workers in 2015. This program is designed for the younger, well educated individuals who speak excellent English and has some work experience in skilled professions. This program includes Federal Skilled Workers, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominee skilled worker class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
The minimum selection criteria for the program; such as, FSW, FSWP, CEC has not changed. The applicants are selected based on their education, work experience, knowledge of English or French and other factors that prove that these new comers to Canada has strong chances of establishing themselves to their new homeland.
PNP Business Immigration and Self Employed Persons:

Business Immigration:
All provinces in Canada have their own business immigration programs. They have
their own business investment, net worth, education, age, work experience and
English Proficiency requirements. Apart from these factors they have their own
criteria for a business person to fulfill to successfully get their PR Status
in this category. This program is suitable for business people, or working
professionals who are financially established, who are not able to get their PR
under the express entry program.
Self
Employed Immigration:
Individuals who are established sports persons, or well known artistic
professionals, can apply under this category. However, there is an application
intake limit under this category.
